Today I will introduce you a up-and-coming and brilliant designer. If you still haven't heard of Steffi Crown I'm sure you'll enjoy this post….

Well, Steffi Crown is a high fashion apparel and accessories brand, founded in 2011 by Stephania Ayiotou. After graduating filmmaking at the Lee Strasberg Academy in New York Steffi directed her first film, which also assured her a place at the 2011 Festival de Cannes. Her success doesn't stop here, of course. Her debut collection was recognized by Harper Bazaar as ‘Best New Comer’, and it has been featured as OK magazine's "Favourites". Stars such as Sarah Drew and Berenice Bejo, lead actress of The Artist, have been spotted wearing Steffi Crown.

Danas ću vam predstaviti jednu nadolazeću i brilijantnu dizajnericu. Ako još uvijek niste čuli za Steffi Crown siguran sam da ćete uživati u ovom postu.

Steffi Crown je brend visoke mode i modnih dodataka kojeg je 2011. godine osnovala Stephania Ayiotou. Nakon što je diplomirala film na Lee Strasberg Academy u New York-u Stephania je direktirala svoj prvi film koji joj je osigurao mjesto na Kanskom film festivalu 2011-te. Njezin uspjeh ne prestaje ovdje, naravno. Svojom prvom kolekcijom Steffi Crown je dospjela na Baazar-ovu listu kao najbolji nadolazeći dizajner te na onu OK magazina kao favorit. Zvijezde poput Sarah Drew I Bernice Bejo, glavne glumice u filmu Umjetnik, samo su neke koje nose Steffi Crown.

What I really like about her collection is strong geometry and simplicity mixed with playful prints. What is also interesting is Angela Hooker's textile work for Steffi Crown since she previously collaborated with Felder Felder.

Always exploring modern design with engineered composition and classic silhouette. Each piece is meticulously tailored to perfection.

We don't want to give away too much but we can say that we'll be rockin' some of Steffi's designs soon, so stay tuned.

Ono što mi se zaista sviđa u njezinoj kolekciji jest snažna geomtrija i jednostavnost pomiješana sa zaigranim printevima. Također vrlo je interesantan i dizajn tekstila Angele Hooker koja već duži niz godina surađuje sa modnom markom Felder Felder.

Dizajnerica uvijek eksperimentira sa modernim dizajnom, projektiranim sastavom, ali i klasičnom siluetom. Svaki je odjevni komad studiozno prilagođen do savršenstva.

Ne mogu vam previše otkriti, ali mogu vam reći da ćemo uskoro imati priliku i mi nositi neke njezine kreacije.

Delegate Song Zuying attacked by throat lock?

A photo picturing that the popular folk song singer Song Zuying (宋祖英) was “attacked” by throat lock has gone viral on the web.

It showed that a hand grabbed Song Zuying by the throat when a group of reporters gathered around her, and she appeared expressionless.But if we look carefully, that was her own hand.The yearly “two meetings” of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on March 5 this year. The political delegates across the country flocked to Beijing to attend, sparking intensive discussions online.Some netizens focused their eyes on the waitresses in the meetings, while some others showed interest in the attendees’ fashionable attire and luxury accessories, but nonsense proposals.Some talked about former CCTV host Ni Ping (倪萍) patting Mao Xinyu (毛新宇, a Chinese historian and military officer, and grandson of late Chairman Mao Zedong) on his shoulder, while others gossiped about folk singer Song Zuying looking as if she was grabbed by the throat.

The annual session’s waitresses made tea to the delegates in the Great Hall of the People.

Ni Ping and Mao Xinyu had a pleasant conversation in the elevator.

Egg producer claims hen was menstruating after bloody egg white found

Recently, a citizen, surnamed Bai, from Qingdao, Shandong was shocked to find there was a red liquid in the egg white when she cracked open one of the special eggs she bought from a supermarket. However, the staff from the egg producer explained it was because the hen was on the rag!Ms. Bai said, “The salesperson in the supermarket introduced these eggs to her, telling that they were called “Insect Eggs” as the chickens were fed with insects. The price of such eggs are more expensive than normal ones. I bought 15 eggs, but we dare not eat them now.”But staff members of the supermarket told reporters, “It is natural that the albumen of these eggs appears red in color. Or, they wouldn’t be labelled ‘Insect Eggs’, if they are the same as the normal eggs.”

Reporters later reached the egg producer. The person in charge claimed, “the hen had her period.”Responding to the incident, a researcher from China’s Agricultural University explained, the red color spotted in the egg white possibly had the following two reasons: 1, the bacterial parasite that lived in the large intestine of the hen caused inflammation to its fallopian tube; 2, the banned feed was used.The researcher also said that the hens cannot menstruate, and regarding the so-called “Insect Eggs”, it is not practical to feed the chickens all with insects. The producer might just add some insect ingredient to their feedstuff.The researcher warned residents not to eat such eggs when the bloody egg white is found.

Man kills street vendor after realizing he was sold a fake iPhone

A 29-year-old man, surnamed Feng, stabbed a street peddler to death in Zhengzhou City, Heinan Province on February 28, after he realized that he was sold a fake iPhone.According to the street monitoring camera footage, the 29-year-old with a knife in hand chased after the vendor along the street at the Two-Seven Square, in Zhengzhou. The vendor fell onto the ground after he was stabbed in his thigh, but he struggled to pick himself up soon running again.When they ran to the front of a shopping mall, the vendor fell one more time. In order to stop the knife-wielding offender coming close to him, the man kept kicking his legs. The offender waved the knife over him for a while and then left. But, unfortunately, the vendor failed to stand up this time. When the ambulance arrived, he has died from blood loss as the artery in his right leg has broken open.

After 2 hours hunting, the local police successfully arrested Feng, who is a chef in a kindergarten of the city, and seized the knife too on the day.It was learned the criminal suspect bought an iPhone with “a good discount” at 2,000 yuan only from two street peddlers near the Rail Station of Zhengzhou City on February 25. When he thought he was hit by good luck that day and happily opened the phone to use, he realized he was fooled: the peddlers showed him a real iPhone in demonstration, but eventually gave him a fake one after the “good deal”.Feng was furious, and rushed back to the original place where he was tricked. For fear the fact that these kinds of street vendors often came as a group, Feng prepared a knife to defend himself and threaten others.But after several days of searching, Feng did not find the vendors who sold the fake iPhone to him, but ran into another group of vendors.Physical conflict aroused between them after argument, and Feng was consequently group beaten by the gang. Under such a pressing circumstance, Feng took out the knife and desperately stabbed to them, forcing the gang to stay back.

One of them sustained the stab wound and Feng took the opportunity to fight back and chase after the injured, which finally led to the death of this vendor.

College girls underwear fashion show in Chengdu

Recently, dozens of beautiful college girls walked down the catwalk in underwear only for an underwear fashion show staged in a broadcasting college in Chengdu city, catching a lot of attention.The students’ performance was fabulous and as good as the professional models, despite the different voice saying that it was improper to have such an “explicit” show at the school campus.

At least 6 Chinese killed in ammunition depot explosions in Congo

At least six Chinese died in the ammunition depot explosions in Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of Congo, in the morning of March 4 (local time), killing more than 200 people and injuring 1500 others in total.When the blasts went off, over 140 Chinese workers of the Beijing Construction Engineering Group in Congo were at the construction site near the ammunition depot. The blasts also left dozens of Chinese workers injured, some in serious condition. China’s embassy in Congo responded immediately to launch a rapid rescuing work and successfully transferred over 50 to 60 other workers at the scene to the security places.According to the central TV station of Congo, several explosions occurred too amid the rescuing work, forcing rescuers and firefighters to stop work several times.The country’s Presidential Office’s spokesman advised the locals not to panic, as the blast was just an isolated incident.

DOVE FASHION.HR PRE-PARTY 2012

Hello fashionistas! 

Our Croatian readers may have already seen the pictures on facebook, but for those who still haven't here are a few of ours.

All of the photos were taken on the Dove Fashion.hr Press Party that we were invited to. Great event that gathered a lot of stylish people in one place. As we are approaching Dove Fashion.hr we have to admit that we are very excited. Another reason for this is that Antonia, along with several other bloggers, became ambassador of Dove Fashion.hr and will have the opportunity to walk the runway of our designer Aleksandra Dojčinović for Dove! We are both very excited and can not wait for March 15th!

If the Rain Comes

But they did come!

The Beatles Tribute group Rain

Last night at the lovely and historic Orpheum Theater in lovely and happening downtown Minneapolis.

I was in the 3rd (or 4th?) grade on a Sunday night when my family turned on The Ed Sullivan Show as we did every Sunday night. I was sitting there in my jammies, about an inch from the television.

"Deborah, don't sit so close! You'll ruin your eyes." my momma admonished. I moved back another inch.

I did not remove my soon-to-be-ruined eyes for the entire hour of the show. I was telling my sister about this experience last night and I said, "I knew right then that my world was changing."

Sounds so dramatic! I just knew that we had never seen anything like what we were watching.

I vaguely heard my dad grumbling about their hair and sassy ways, but I did not pay any mind. I was falling love.

My heart was beating fast and I wanted to cry. They were so beautiful! They were so cute! They were so adorable.

I was in. In and blindly a follower.

My sister called several weeks ago wanting me to go with her to see Rain when they came to Minneapolis. I said YES! She is nearly nine years younger than me, but because I was her big sister she was forced to listen to what I listened to and she developed a love for The Beatles that nearly overshadows mine.

So the two of us were the perfect pair to go to see the tribute band, Rain.

If you think I'm annoying, you should be with me when my sister is along. She's not annoying, but the two of us together are kinda loud and electric. We come from a long line of electric and loud people. Our people are loud!

That's okay. We were ready to get our Beatle on and the show was fabulous. We sang along, danced when the crowd stood up (I have to say that the Minneapolis crowd last night was rather stiff - lots of money in that room and I will make this observation - no joyous movement was to be seen).

There would be the lone dancer - standing and moving - only to quickly sit down. Very few heads were bobbing from our vantage point. In fact, the couple in front of me didn't move once. The Nordic folk are the stoic kind. I'm sure they were getting their grove on in their own way. At least I pray they were.

My sister and I had pre-gamed at my house a bit (white wine anyone?) and since Pup had lovingly volunteered to drive our arses to and from the venue we could have additional libations at The Orpheum. Which we did.

I switched it up to scotch and when the barkeep handed me a TUMBLER (shouldn't there be some rocks when one orders scotch and rocks??) of liquor my sister advised me to, "sip this, SIP THIS." I did the best I could.

I had big plans to get BlackBerry shots of us enjoying the show, but, of course, I got lost in the moments and never got them. Apparently my BlackBerry was too busy butt-dialing people in my contact list. Sorry my lovelies! One friend left a voice-mail saying how much they were enjoying the music on my message. {sheepish}

A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
