Love the elegance of a lady in a lavish hat, draped in diamonds and an understated couture creation that drags across the marble floor as she walks to her wardrobe with an air of glamour!

A Tribute to McQueen

 American Vogue hosted a tribute in their glossy pages for one of the greatest fashions extraordinaire I think ever walked among us, Alexander McQueen!

This awe-inspiring spread is an intro for the stellar career and thorough preview for the upcoming Savage Beauty exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute featuring “Alexander The Great” – a beautiful story of the fashion pioneer Alexander McQueen.

Take a look at these creations; McQueen is still my favorite designer!

Long gone is the boring drab and just out right sad men’s trends of yesteryear, MEN can finally embrace their own style. Whether you like to keep it casual & simple OR love living it fashion forward & outrageous! - Trends for men has finally found it’s own among those of the ladies.

Prada Marfa

If you knew you would be stranded in a desert what would you take - water, sunblock or how about some Prada?

The Middle of a West Texas desert would be the last place you would expect to find a fully stocked Prada boutique, but a few miles outside the small town of Valentine Texas you’ll find just that!

The “Prada boutique” was over seen by Miuccia Prada her self and was stocked with $80,000 (R544, 912.10) or about 40 Prada handbags worth of merchandize!

Soon after the exhibition was opened in 2005 it was looted and the Design team had to rebuild and stock the exhibition with Prada – all of the store’s Prada are now heavily alarmed, and stronger windows have been installed to protect the interior from forced entry. Additionally, the handbags have no bottoms and all of the shoes are right-footed.

This is one Art exhibition I would love to visit!!

Copenhagen Fashion Week 2011

All about the Fur

Copenhagen fashion week kicked up the controversy with collections featuring fur as a focal point, from full fur coats to luxurious fur wraps to contrast the cold winter glam that Copenhagen is renowned for!  

A combination of Intimate collections of specially crafted pieces from selected international designers like – Gaspard Yurkievich, Lars Wallin, Mila Schon, Maria Buccellati, J. Mendel, Anne Valerie Hash, Soulland, On Aura Tout Vu, & Issa created a unique fashion show filled with glamour and luxury.

Whether you love or hate fur is completely up to you – I personally fell in love with some of these pieces and the glamour it is selling!
