These two faces.

It's crazy and wonderful that these two get closer and closer. It used to be that George would have nothing to do with the cat. But Calvin is definitely growing on him.

He grew on us so it was bound to happen.

I have no excuse for this post. Pup says I have a classic empty-nest thing going on. I have entirely replaced being a mom for being a pet-mom.

I'm alarmed! I laugh! I'm sooooo very annoying.

First of all we have to congratulate the whole team of Zagreb Fashion Week for excellent organisation and say thank you for invitation. As there was a lot of great collections, but also a smaller number of bad ones we decided to show you the very best of ZFW.

Also in the next few post we will be showing you our outfits so we really hope you'll enjoy it.

Foreign designers, sisters Capara who presented their collection at our fashion week are my absolute favorite. Details that left me breathless as necklace chains in different colors- I love them! They look fierce and super sexy!

I'm very glad that the materials looked really nice and luxurious than most of the materials we saw during these three days. The sisters played with the geometric shapes and leather. Very feminine and minimalist collection is the perfect choice for any modern woman!

Strane dizajnerice, sestre Capara koje su predstavile svoju kolekciju na našem tjednu mode moj su apsolutni favorit. Detalji koji su me ostavili bez daha definitivno su ogrlice lanci u različitim bojama- obožavam ih! Izgledale su snažno i super seksi! Jako mi je drago da su materijali izgledali jako lijepo i luksuznije nego većina materijala koje smo vidjeli u ova tri dana. Sestre su se poigrale s geometrijskim oblicima, kao i s kožom. Vrlo ženstvena i minimalistička kolekcija savršen je izbor za sve moderne žene! Capara

We have been fortunate enough to see this amazing show by London based designers Bruno Basso & Chris Brooke. Their brand is known for strong and bold print and each season they inject special twist in ther collection and make it more feminine and simple. Explosion of colors wasn't left out neither this time so they managed to convey a touch of London's chic to our small Croatia. Forceful simplicity and wearabilty that adorn their design probably made Rihanna, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Obama to just go crazy for them. Definitely one of the best collections of fashion week. Don't you agree with me?

Bili smo dovoljno sretni da pogledamo ovu odličnu reviju Londonskih dizajnera Bruno Basso-a & Chris Brooke-a. Njihov je brand poznat po snažnim i hrabrim printevima i svake sezone ovi dizajneri unesu poseban zaokret u svoju kolekciju i učine ju ženstvenijom i jednostavnijom. Eksplozija boja nije izostala niti ovaj put čime su uspjeli prenijet dašak londonskog šika i na našu malu Hrvatsku. Jednostavnost i nosivost vjerojatno su ono zbog čega Rihanna, Kelly Rowland i Michelle Obama luduju za njima. Definitivno jedna od najboljih kolekcija fashion week-a.

It would be a crime not to show you these pictures girls, trust me! Toni Rico was definitely the star of the evening throwing us the real show with cute guys, great music and lots of fruit! Of course, I check out what models actually wore, and indeed, the collection was really excellent, based on the bright colors that can only wear a super stylish guys! I loved the suits, especially the edges of the suits in cool colors and prints, a great way to make such a classic piece of clothing fun and youthful! All praise!

Bio bi zločin ne pokazati vam ove slike djevojke, vjerujte mi! Toni Rico svakako je bio zvijezda večeri o kojoj su mnogi pričali priredivši nam pravi show sa zgodnim dečkima, odličnom glazbom i puuuuno voća! Naravno, uspjeli smo pogledati što modeli zapravo nose i uistinu, kolekcija je bila zbilja odlična, temeljena na šarenim nijansama koje mogu nositi samo super stylish dečki! Pozornost želim obratiti na odijela sa rubovima u boji i cool printovima; odličan način da klasičan komad poput odijela učinite zabavnim i mladenačkim! Sve pohvale!

ADA ZANDITON

Years of working for Alexander McQueen and Gareth Pugh are indeed visible in the collection of Ada Zanditon. Hairstyle and make-up blew me away because, as you all know, I love creativity and creziness. The idea of the collection was actually very good, but performnce very poor. However, as croatian designers didn't offer anything better I can't complain.

Godine rada za Alexander McQueen-a i Garetha Pugha zaista su vidljive u radu Ade Zanditon. Frizura i make-up su me oduševili, jer kao što svi znate, obožavam kreativnost i otkačenost. Ideja kolekcije je zapravo jako dobra, ali izvedba siromašna. Međutim, kako hrvatski dizajneri nisu ponudili ništa bolje ne mogu se žaliti.

Blog Keeping Today

You know how it is.

There are dust bunnies all over the place around Fashion Plate (yes, I realize that dust bunnies are not bunnies, but actually our skin, but I prefer to not think about that. YUCK!) and thought I'd drag out that lovely Riccar and clean up the place for me and you!

What Are You Doing Today?

I'm going to Ikea with my Bella to scope out utility room thingys. Wish me luck because WAH? We're going to Ikea on a SUNDAY? We must have a screw loose.

But we're going early, going to fuel up on their $1 breakfast (or whatever it costs), drink lots of their awesome Swedish coffee, and hit the ground running, elbows flying.

Not really. There will be no elbows. Or pepper spray for that matter. Did y'all hear about the pepper spray all over the country? I'm embarrassed to be part of the human race at times. I like a bargain, but I'm not going to risk getting shot over an Xbox. I'll buy my damn flatscreens at Costco thank you very much.

So, I'm drinking my coffee (yes!) and trying to pick out a white for my utility room. Can you believe this damn Benjamin Moore? How many whites are there?

I'm excited to go to Ikea, I can't lie. I love that place with a passion that is a little unnatural. Or maybe it is natural. To me anyway.

It's early - I'm rambling - I'm going to put on some jeans and wait for Bella.

You're Supposed to Thaw It?

Thanksgiving at my Bella's house.

Her very first Thanksgiving and she was excited to cook.

I headed over to her house with some helpful items she doesn't have, ready for a day of cookin' and later, a day of eatin' with the family. I was really looking forward to hanging out with her and making the meal together.

"Where's the turkey sweetie?" I ask.

"What Momma? Don't you have it?"

"Didn't Pup bring it over Monday?" I ask again.

"No! I thought you guys were bringing it over thawed today!"

We stare at each other for a minute.

A minute longer.

We start laughing our asses off.

I call Pup. "Hey babe, didn't you bring the turkey over to Bella earlier this week like we talked about?"

"Oh no!" I hear.

Turkey is frozen solid.

Pup brings it over anyway. Bella and I hunker down at her and B's laptop, frantically seeing what we can do.

Guess what? You can cook a frozen turkey. No problem. We followed the instructions from the Mayo Clinic and the Minnesota Department of Health and threw that bad boy into the oven.

Six hours later, we're eating that 11 pound beauty.

Wine, turkey, stuffing, corn pudding, my awesome gravy, Lorenzo's green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, and some wii Jeopardy.

Life is good. Even when it starts out frozen.
