Prada Marfa

If you knew you would be stranded in a desert what would you take - water, sunblock or how about some Prada?

The Middle of a West Texas desert would be the last place you would expect to find a fully stocked Prada boutique, but a few miles outside the small town of Valentine Texas you’ll find just that!

The “Prada boutique” was over seen by Miuccia Prada her self and was stocked with $80,000 (R544, 912.10) or about 40 Prada handbags worth of merchandize!

Soon after the exhibition was opened in 2005 it was looted and the Design team had to rebuild and stock the exhibition with Prada – all of the store’s Prada are now heavily alarmed, and stronger windows have been installed to protect the interior from forced entry. Additionally, the handbags have no bottoms and all of the shoes are right-footed.

This is one Art exhibition I would love to visit!!
