This seson all kind of stones in various colors (from warm and soft to cool and strong) are used for jewerly. This trend took over the runways which you can see on the picture above.Without a doubt, it will tickle its way down and influence the street fashion as well.

A/W 2011 Spence & Missibaba

Designer Fashion Day

Over the weekend I attend the A/W 2011 Spence. & Missibaba Designer Fashion Day held at the super eclectic Arts on Main. The upper level of the exhibition space was the perfect platform to display the chic fashion of all the designers that partook in this fabulous day.

This Designer Fashion Day was held to showcase Spence.co.za and all the stylish designer brands that they represent including Missibaba – Missibaba is a luxury Accessory Design Label described as a “Playground for all thing leather” and run by Chloe a Cape Town based designer and in my opinion a master in the craft of Glam Leather goods!

Among the other exhibitions were some amazing displays by Abigail Betz and Black Coffee. There were also loads of Vintages Brands with some great bargains buys and amazing Local Craft’s men & women displaying what they consider art and fashion.

Along with the fashion the Arts on Main market was taking place in the ground exhibition space, which was a perfect opportunity to get my hands on some local food and creativity!

Speaking of creativity take a look at this Art Dress, I’m not sure who the creative genius is that created it but I just loved the way it was constructed out of vintage gloves and “doilies”.
