Singer-Songwriter LeAnne wins at 17th Annual South African Music Awards!
One of SA’s hottest Singer-Songwriter’s, LeAnne walked away with the awards for “Best R&B/Neo-Soul Album” and “Best Produced Album”, at this years’ 17th Annual South African Music Awards, held on Friday night at Monte Casino, Johannesburg.
This was LeAnne’s first nomination for the South African Music Awards; and she also closed the awards ceremony performing her hit single, “Deal With It”.
She received the “Best R&B/Neo-Soul Album” award for the critically acclaimed album, “The Journey”. LeAnne said: “I’m so emotional, I can’t believe this, I’ve worked so hard and waited so long to have this.” in her acceptance speech, going on to thank the producers on her sophomore album.
Sipho Dlamini, Alexis Faku and Michael Manishana who received the award for “Best Produced Album”, produced “The Journey”.
LeAnne wore a gray Funduzi gown by designer Craig Jacobs and looked amazing, this was the perfect offset for her winning night!
