24-year-old girl rescued when attempting suicide in Changsha

February 27, in Changsha City, Hunan Province, a 24-year-old girl was caught sitting on top of the 32d floor’s bay window projecting outward from a building wall, attempting suicide. She cut her left wrist with a stone, and screamed to a cell phone. In 3 hours, the police tried to persuade the girl to accept their help, but failed. They then decided to rescue the woman by force.One of police officers used a rope to tied up the girl’s right foot at one end, and the other one grabbed her left foot tightly, from the room. Then the third police officer pushed himself from the balcony to the top of the bay window too to hold the girl’s arm. At last with efforts, four to five policemen safely pulled the girl back to the room unharmed.It was learned, the girl is is from Yueyang City, Hunan Province. In the police station, the girl kept complaining that she did not commit suicide successfully. When asked why she chose suicide at her young age, she only repeated herself that she was disappointing to her family because she had no boyfriend and no job now and her parents often shouted at.
