Martial arts actress Bai Jing stabbed to death by her husband

February 28, 28-year-old actress Bai Jing (白静) was stabbed to death by her husband Zhou Chenghai (周成海) at their home in Beijing for the family dispute, shocking the entertainment circle. Zhou Chenghai committed suicide too after he murdered her wife.

Bai Jing was the first personal disciple in Mainland of Kong Fu master Ye Zhun (also known as Ip Chun), who is the son of Ye Wen (aka. Ip Man), grandmaster of Wing Chun (咏春). Since the training laid a good foundation for her martial arts skills, Bai Jing was hailed as the “successor of Michelle Yeoh (杨紫琼)“, after her successful performance in the martial arts movie “Kung Fu Wing Chun” released in 2010 as the leading actress.There were several different sayings rumoring about the incident.According to Ju Chunlei, General Manager of an Entertainment Media company, both of the couple nursed a grudge against each for a long time. And possibly because of Zhou’s mother that died right before Chinese New Year, their resentment intensified, which finally resulted in the tragedy.There was another rumor saying that Bai Jing filed for divorce from her billionaire husband in order to get a big chunk of his wealth after she had an affair with another married man with the excuse that she had been kong suffering the domestic violence, which prompted the furious husband to kill her at the end.
