38-year-old woman builds website to promote premarital virginity
The 38-year-old woman showed to the reporters a medical report of her “membrane integrity” issued by a hospital.A 38-year-old woman, who is still single and holds a master’s degree, recently triggered intensive controversy online for her setting up a website to promote premarital virginity. In order to prove that she is a virgin, the woman, surnamed Tu, presented to the public a medical report of her “membrane integrity” issued by a hospital. The 38-year-old who has never been in a relationship said that she wants to get married too, but not so eager as before when she was 20-something years old. Tu accepted that her thought to chastity grew stronger as with the age increasing. When asked what her initial intention to build such a website was, Tu responded that she was influenced by a tragic fact that a friend of her father’s killed his teen daughter because she delivered a baby with a man and he himself was jailed too.Tu believed it was necessary to build the website, because the distortion of some values in today’s world has had very bad impact on youngsters’ attitude towards sex. She wanted to tell young people that defending chastity can help them concentrate on chasing dreams and avoid the harm from the premarital sex.The matter, however, aroused heated debate on the web. Some netizens said it is respectable but impractical because the premarital sex is tolerated in today’s society that is more and more open, while some others doubted her intention to build such a website.A socialist directly supported Tu, believing that the premarital chastity commitment should be promoted as it regulates our moral values, and Tu’s move is a response to the current immoral social phenomena, such as “one night stands”, and “extramarital affairs”.
