Over 70 injured at Faye Wong’s concert as seats caved in

Pop diva Faye Wong apologized on her Sina Weibo account to fans, after some seats in the auditorium of her concert held in the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center collapsed injuring over 70 persons on February 17.The collapse happened at around 8 pm, when Faye Wong was just ready to show up to the stage. The concert was then suspended, and the injured were rushed to the hospital immediately.It was reported the seats caved in because the medal scaffolding that supported the seats up to 1.5 meters high dislocated. Most of the injured sustained trauma to their feet or heads, and as of now, four persons were still kept in the hospital for further medical check.Faye’s concert will be re-opened on Feb. 19.
