Women “take over men’s restroom” in protest

On February 19, 2012, several female protesters, who were university undergraduates basically, launched a “take over men’s restroom” activity at public areas in Guangzhou, in response to the embarrassing problem that women often have to wait in long queues to relieve themselves in front of public toilets.Due to the biological difference between men and women, the current number of women’s restrooms is too disappointing in proportion to men’s. The protesters hoped to attract people’s attention through this activity, and called the government to increase the number of women’s restrooms in order to eliminate the embarrassing trouble.Men interviewed all sent their supports and understandings, as they have their families too.
