Animal rights activist kneels to bears after witnessing bile extraction

In the morning of Feb. 24, eight social members, including animal rights activists, visited the bear farm and witnessed the whole process of the bear bile extraction, after Fujian Guizhentang Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. (Guizhentang), which has been under fire for making medicine from bear bile and applying for IPO for the second time, opened their bear farm to the journalists and the public once again.During the visit, one animal welfare activist suddenly knelt down on his knees to the black bears to apology after he has seen the bear bile extraction, which took the staff members of the bear farm by surprise. When he was held up, the man held his palms together to pray too.
